The service was outstanding, but the room we got faced Wong Eatery club. They had a live DJ every single day, not just weekends, with loud music from midnight until 3 a.m. The sound and vibrations were bad enough that I’m sure around 30-50 rooms could hear them each night. That’s really rough for guests trying to stay in those rooms.

The room wasn’t cleaned well. There was dirt and sand on the bed, and the furniture was dusty. Service was mediocre at best. At the café, nobody came to take my order, so I had to go to the cashier myself. There’s a glass window between the shower and bedroom, with blinds that don’t help much because lots of light still gets through. The hotel has also set the air conditioning to switch off automatically when the bathroom light is turned off. That’s absurd. I couldn’t sleep at all. What’s the point of booking a hotel if you can’t rest? When I brought it up, nobody offered a solution for the AC.

There were water dispensers on every floor, and the rooms had bolsters. The stay was quite pleasant, though the rooms felt cramped and the prayer space was limited.

Wong Eatery next door made it hard to sleep. Every night, from midnight until 2 or 3 a.m., their loud music could be heard inside the room. Who runs live music on both weekdays and weekends next to an area surrounded by hotels?

Easy to find local food around here, and the location is strategic. One of the best hotels in Palembang. I’ll come back.
