Monoloog Hotel Palembang

A clean hotel that works well for a short visit or business trip. The room only really fits two people.

The room was clean, and the huge wall mirror made it feel more spacious than it really was. The staff were helpful, friendly, and quick to respond during my two-night stay. It’s near the city center, and the rate is sooo affordable, especially for backpackers. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it.

The front desk staff helped with my questions about nearby places and PCR testing. The shower pressure was weak, and the table was awkwardly placed, making an already small room feel tighter. It’s a compact, inexpensive city hotel, so bring your own toiletries. In keeping with its eco-friendly approach, there’s no plastic bottle in the room; a water dispenser is in the corridor. I’d stayed at another Red Planet before and had a pleasant visit, and this one-night stay was comfortable too.

The price was affordable, so we were satisfied with our overnight stay. The room had no phone, but there’s one by the lift to call the lobby or restaurant. A jar and two glasses are provided in each room, with a water dispenser near the lift. Bring your own amenities, since the hotel only supplies clean towels. We ended up here by chance after our first choice was full. The place was clean and the staff were kind. Food options were limited, but what was available was freshly cooked, fairly tasty, and cheap.
