OYO 578 Sugoi Kost

I like it.

Housekeeping was poor.

This was my first time at an Oyo boarding house, one of the cheap, very basic kind, and they still asked for a 100,000 IDR deposit. The room was tiny, the blinds on the window were broken and stuck closed, and there wasn't any water in the room. No soap either, just one bottle of Oyo lotion. The foot mat and bath towel were filthy; the towel looked like it had been reused without washing. The sheets and bed cover were covered in stains from earlier guests. I'm pretty sure they hadn't been washed or changed after more than three guests. The one upside is the central location, with lots of places to eat within 1km.

The price is reasonably low and the AC gets cold, but the rest needs work. The place isn't clean and the walls are dirty, with no doormat. Towels were missing for two days because the laundry service didn't deliver. Management should find a better laundry service, and the standards here don't feel up to those of hotels or similar places, especially given the deposit. Hot water wasn't on at the top floor, and the TV picture was blurry with nothing worth watching. Management needs to improve how things are run and keep cleanliness in mind.
