The room felt dark and gloomy at first. The bed smelled nice, though the laundry perfume had been sprayed on too heavily. I still wasn’t convinced it was clean: there were yellow marks on the linen and footprints on the wall. I’d booked two nights but left after one. It was cheap, to be fair, but I hadn’t expected all those marks. I also found out later that booking through the app cost more than just walking in. The receptionist was helpful, though not friendly.

I stayed for 6 days in Palembang, and this was the best place I tried. It has a lot of potential and is among the best budget stays in town. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I was lucky to meet the owner, who was down-to-earth and hospitable. The location is great, just off a busy intersection, with plenty of cheap, good places to eat and a morning market I really enjoyed. Try the lontong and Gado Gado. My room was clean and spacious, with towels, toothbrushes, shower gel, and shampoo, nice extras for a budget hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It’s fairly comfortable and clean. The one thing to keep in mind is that it’s near a public cemetery.
