It's a good option if you're looking for something cheap and close to the beach, just a one-minute walk away. It's really good.

Watch out for room fraud. This hotel can't be trusted. The listing clearly said a deluxe room for 4 people, but they gave me a room for 2 and came up with various unreasonable excuses. I'd booked it on March 31, 2025 for April 2-4, 2025, about two months ahead, and had already contacted the hotel on WA to confirm room availability. When I arrived, they suddenly gave me the 2-person room. I complained to Traveloka, but they didn't follow up properly. They told me to wait 30 minutes, then 60 minutes, until I went home, and said the room was appropriate. How are two double beds for four people the same as one king bed for two? It was completely different. The bed base was sticky, so I ended up sleeping on the floor on a thin, smelly, sticky mattress. I don't trust Traveloka after this. Now I know what they're really like. When something goes wrong, they wash their hands of it. Traveloka is a scam. Be careful when booking a room, and check Google reviews too, since they're usually more accurate. I'd ignore hotels with ratings below 4.

Doel, the Pangandaran kid looking after the place, was polite and easy to chat with. The owner is generous too, so guests should remember to leave a little coffee money for the staff. I stayed for two nights and found the room clean, with good water pressure and very cold AC. There’s a dispenser for coffee, and you can make instant noodles in the room. I’d ask for an upstairs room, though the morning call to prayer might wake you. The hotel sits a minute’s walk from the beach on the west coast. It’s in the village, but doesn’t feel rustic. If you’re visiting Pangandaran to explore rather than spend your honeymoon in the room, it’s more than enough for a night’s sleep. Rooms for four are fairly clean and comfortable and cost Rp300-350 thousand on weekends. It suits groups of 5-20 since the beach is right there any time of day. When it was quiet midweek in February 2020, I got a single room for Rp150 thousand by coming alone. Next time I’m back, Doel, Uncle Papua will come by again.

The room was clean and nice, and the caretaker was friendly. When the gallon of water in the room ran out, he replaced it right away without hesitation. I also left my work ID card behind at checkout. I confirmed it with them the next day, and they sent it to me by courier. Very trustworthy. 💫💙💫
