Aquarium Hotel

The value for money was great, and the location on Pangandaran's west beach made it convenient for finding street food and restaurants. It's also near the forest entrance. The pool was okay, though swimmers came straight from the beach with sand on their feet and clothes. Our third-floor room only looked onto the pool, with no other view. Breakfast was good but had limited choices. Being next to the beach meant the floor was always wet, so be careful.

The hotel is right by the beach, which makes the location convenient, and the staff were friendly despite being short-handed. I stayed in VIP room 301 and found it comfortable enough, but there were just two towels for a room meant for four, and the shower had no divider or curtain. The building itself was dirty, damaged in places and poorly maintained. The TV antenna was awful, with most channels unavailable. Breakfast ran from 7:30 to 10:00 AM, but there wasn't much variety. The pool is fun for kids, though the water was dirty. I don't think I'll return; next time I'd choose another hotel.

At IDR800K a night, this felt like a ripoff, even though the room was spacious. I was in Room 601 and my sister was in Room 505. The hotel seemed understaffed and poorly maintained, with dirty walls, torn wallpaper, a rusty bathroom and other things that would be easy to clean and look after.

The room was nice, the staff friendly, the pool had cool slides, and there was plenty of parking. But breakfast didn't stretch to every guest. When they made up my room, they could only replace one towel because the rest were still in the laundry. I got the new towel the next day.
