Puri Saraswati Dijiwa Ubud

We picked this hotel as a treat, and it was a great choice. Its location next to the water palace is fantastic. Breakfast was served at Lotus Cafe, overlooking the palace. Hotel guests get complimentary access to the water palace and can watch the 7:30 pm evening show from the restaurant, though the view is better with actual show tickets. We had a complimentary 30-minute massage and extended it to an hour, which was well worth it. For stays of five nights, incense making is also complimentary, usually IDR 480k. It was a lovely experience, starting with a blessing ritual and meditation, then making three sets of incense sticks with scents we chose ourselves, plus three cones. We were given a complimentary incense holder and an extra packet of cones. The instructor and assistant were both friendly and patient. The hotel also offers daily guest activities, from morning yoga to afternoon calligraphy and a short Balinese language class. Our room was one of the royal rooms, with a large bathtub separate from the shower. The shower was enclosed but outdoors, which was a novelty. We could hear the next door bathroom somewhat, but it didn’t bother us. The door creaked a little, adding character, and the room had good air conditioning and plenty of space. Highly recommend staying here.

The location makes it easy to get around, right in the middle of the city. We’ve only just arrived, but the hotel already feels peaceful and welcoming. Its elegant, well-kept rooms blend luxury with traditional Balinese temple style. We’re looking forward to the next few days here. Highly recommend!

We loved our honeymoon stay here and would happily come back. The place is gorgeous, and the staff were among the kindest and friendliest I’ve met. They helped make our time in Bali feel perfect. We also booked private tours around our hotel stay, and Musta, our driver, was exceptionally friendly and gave us great service. The SPA was incredible too.

Right in the middle of Ubud, with markets just down the road and great restaurants all around, Puri Saraswati Dijiwa Ubud was a lovely base for our group of 11. The staff were friendly from the moment we arrived and helped with everything we needed. The hotel has old Balinese charm while still feeling clean and modern enough to be comfortable. We enjoyed the refreshing pool and the restaurant food, especially the included three-course breakfast. Thanks for taking such good care of us and making our Bali trip special.
