Holiday Beach Inn

For the price, this hotel needs a lot of improvement. The room had a musty smell, and you'd need a dehumidifier to clear it. It also needed much more cleaning, and the amenities should all be in place before guests check in. I'd rate the description as misleading and the hotel as only one star.

From the entrance, it looks like a low-budget motel, but the pool and the rooms beside it are much nicer, more like mid-budget rooms. They're modern, bright, and clean. Rooms have Wi-Fi and HDTV satellite, and a limited local breakfast is included. I didn't see many other facilities. The main beach is a 3-5 minute walk away. As a base for the area, for a short or medium stay, it's very good for the price.

The location is great, with both the east and west beaches within walking distance. Staff were friendly and quick to respond. The rooms are smaller than average but comfortable, and getting one right by the pool at a cheap price was nice. This will be one of my first choices next time I visit Pangandaran.

The swimming pool was nice, and reception was very friendly. They weren't very helpful when I asked about transport, scooters, or trips. Our room was a decent size, but it was very humid, which led to a smell and mold on the walls, and we found some bugs in the bathroom. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay, though that didn't bother me much.
