We arrived by taxi after booking a room, only to find it wasn’t ready, so we went somewhere else. They said they’d refund us because it was their mistake, but I never got the money. He told Booking that he had paid it in cash. It was only £8, but it’s the principle. The place looked by far the worst I’ve seen in Borneo. Stay away.

The room had bed bugs, so I had to find somewhere else to stay at midnight to avoid getting bitten. The staff spoke very little English.

The place was horrible when we arrived and didn’t meet our expectations. The owner promised to cancel the booking after we said we were leaving, but kept the money. I feel the owner committed fraud.
