Niagara Hotel Lake Toba & Resorts

The view was breathtaking, and we enjoyed being able to use the tennis and basketball courts, kids playground, and pool. The room was clean, but quite dated and basic, without much in the way of modern comfort or style. Check-in was very busy and we waited quite a while because reception didn't have enough staff. People also weren't lining up properly. If the view and activities are what matter most to you, it's worth considering, though the room feels old-fashioned.

We had a great experience and good service during our two-night stay over Chinese New Year, though the rental was expensive. The grounds were nice, with a beautiful view over samosir, the water, and mountainside. Everything was pretty clean, and the beds were very firm but still comfortable. There was no hot water at the bathroom sinks or fridge for drinks and snacks, and they didn't have extra water available when we asked.

A great view of Lake Toba, a big pool, and decent breakfast made this one of the best hotels in the Parapat area for me. The restaurant had a nice range of food, there was lots of parking, and it was kid friendly.

The renovated room looked nice, and the lake views were awesome. They could accommodate vegetarian dishes, and the natural weather was cool. On the downside, there wasn't much food choice, the lobby convenience shop wasn't open, and customer service could be much better. Even in the renovated room, the water pressure was still too weak.
