The House Tour Uphill

Food options were great and the service was good during our long weekend stay. There aren't many indoor activities for kids if it rains, and rooms like the loft could be a little dangerous for small children.

The service was great. The water heater just needs a small adjustment so hot water is available all the time.

The good part ended after finding the hotel easily in a strategic location and seeing the interesting themed design of the loft room. If you like that style, the interior is pleasing to look at. The room was beside a public restaurant with no divider, so diners could watch us. The bed cover and pillows had too many sweat stains and looked like they were only washed once a month. The bed creaked with even the slightest movement, so you had to stay still. There were spider webs in the bathroom, which might suit someone who likes that kind of theme, but I didn't. Worst was the sewage smell. Even with the bathroom door closed, I could smell it from the front door on the second floor, while the bathroom was downstairs. I barely slept because of it. The staff gave us three fragrance oil diffusers, which helped me sleep for a while. That shows how helpless management seemed about the smell. Please @hotelmanagement get an expert to deal with it.

We booked the Medium Bathtub room at the last minute through the official website, at a cheaper price than Traveloka and the other options. The service was excellent, and we were allowed to check in early and check out late. Breakfast was good, and the staff were nice. The room could work better. Water randomly dripped in the bathroom and flooded it in the morning, and the AC wasn't very cold even set to 16. Luckily it was rainy season, so the natural temperature was kind of cool. Our room also looked out at the back of the hotel, which wasn't a very nice view.
