Villa Puri Teras

The staff were the best part, especially Ms. Ira at reception, who was very friendly and helpful with information about Lembang tourist spots. The location is a long way from the main road, though, and public transport definitely isn’t easy to use from there. At IDR 350K a night for two, this is a budget hotel rather than a villa. The room is basic and has no air conditioning, though thankfully it got down to 25 degrees at night. There’s a hot shower in a very standard bathroom, with single use toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shower gel, and toilet paper. We tried to be eco friendly and brought our own toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and shower gel instead. Breakfast was basic: fried rice or noodles, one egg cooked as an omelette, boiled, or poached, tea or coffee, and a few small slices of papaya. We only stayed one night, so I wasn’t too fussy about whether the sheet had come from the laundry. I brought two sarongs and a bath towel, and only asked the staff to change my smelly pillowcase. I couldn’t bring myself to look at the pillow itself. It was so dirty, with what looked like marks from a previous guest’s sweat and saliva. Oh no.
