Villa Infinite Horizon

The owner was very nice and helpful, and breakfast was great. Staying at Villa Infinite Horizon was an amazing experience. The view is even better in person than in the pictures, and you can watch the sunrise every morning if you want.

The terrace looks out over the ocean, and there’s a large infinity pool. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. The horizon really does feel endless, and the views were fantastic. Our room was big and comfortable, with a mini fridge, sofa and nice decorations. We were very impressed with both the place and the location. Just keep in mind it’s a bit outside town, so you’d need a scooter to get there :)

The staff were very friendly and helped us arrange taxis and a snorkelling trip to see the local shipwrecks. Their English is a little limited, but we got by, and it’s a whole lot better than my Indonesian! The hotel is small, with just four rooms, and every one looks out to sea. Nothing but ocean in the view, which is beautiful. Our room was nice and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom felt dated, like my grandparents’ bathroom last decorated in the 1970s. It was fully functional, though. You’re a little outside the main part of Amed. Restaurants can pick you up, and there’s one onsite too, but it closes early at 8pm. I had lunch there and breakfast every morning, and the food was pretty good.

We ended up here unexpectedly and stayed one night. The place is beautiful, with an ocean view, a lovely pool and lots of room in the bedroom. The staff are very friendly. Sadly it was fully booked until June, or we would have stayed longer. The internet was unstable, which was a minor issue but mattered because we needed to work remotely. We definitely want to stay again next time.
