BB Homestay Two

We booked a room for two nights and were surprised to find it was an orgy room, with lots of mirrors and a chuckchair in the corner. That wasn’t what we thought we were booking. Why does nobody mention this?

The staff were very friendly, but the rooms were neglected and filthy. We’d booked based on the nice photos, then arrived and were shocked. Inside, it was even worse: mouldy walls that looked as if they might collapse on us, a horrible smell, and no fresh air coming in. We couldn’t stay even five minutes. It felt like a cabin from a horror film, and we packed up and left in the middle of the night. Dirty, neglected, smelly, mouldy. The photos don’t show what it’s really like. Run away.

The bed was extremely noisy, which was the main downside. Otherwise, we loved our three nights: the room was spacious, clean, and looked well cared for, with a warm shower and air conditioning. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom tap didn’t work, but that didn’t bother us. It’s well placed for beaches and shops, and the area is quiet, though nearby construction got noisy in the evening. We rented a scooter there for $10 a day and had no issues.

My experience didn’t match the earlier reviews at all, so perhaps renovations have been done since they were written. The room was basic, but the bed was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with hot water. It’s nicely located, the staff are friendly and helpful, and you can rent a scooter there at a reasonable price.
