Blue Point Resort and Spa

I felt cheated by the service. I paid for a 1.5 hour massage, but it ended after about an hour. I took a screenshot when I entered the room, and the session hadn't even reached 1 hour and 10 minutes when it was over. I also have proof my card wasn't charged until about an hour after I went in, which backs up that I didn't get the full time I paid for. The therapists weren't friendly. When I asked to pay part in cash, they laughed and treated me rudely, which made me very uncomfortable. I don't recommend this place.

We left the resort yesterday and were happy with the service. They were very accommodating, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the music gave the place a great vibe. The pools were lovely, especially the infinity pool, and our room was spacious, clean and had a very comfortable bed. I thought breakfast would be buffet style, but it wasn't. We'd come back.

We gave it three stars because, after we complained about the first room, the hotel arranged a different premium room for an extra charge. That first room was old and poorly kept, with dated bathroom and toilet facilities, a strong bad smell and flies everywhere. I know it's a natural environment, but this was our third hotel on a 10-day trip to Bali, and the other two managed flies, mosquitoes and insects much better. The breakfast was very disappointing too. Staff setting the tables seemed untrained, holding forks, spoons and knives by the eating ends instead of the handles, which felt unhygienic. They should look at how the property is managed, update and renovate the older rooms, and bring the restaurant and food service closer to international standards. The whole experience felt more like a 2-star hotel than a resort.

The noise from parties nearby carried on until around 1 AM. It didn't keep us awake, but it might bother other guests. Even so, we had a great time and would happily return. We loved the hotel and its ocean-view pool. The welcome drink was delicious, and breakfast was tasty with an amazing sea view. There are two pools: the infinity pool is open to non-guests for a day-use fee, and guests can reserve a sunbed and umbrella one day ahead. It gets crowded after midday, so around 11 AM when it opens is a good time to go, though I can't remember if opening is at 10 or 11. There's also a more private second pool, which I believe is for guests only. It doesn't look out to the beach, but it's nice too. We only stayed one night, but we'd definitely come back.
