Casa Philip

Casa Philip looks beautiful, but our first night brought a water outage that continued into the next day. We had to wash using an outdoor hose, which was uncomfortable and inconvenient. They said we’d get 10% off for the disruption, then refused to provide it at checkout. That felt dishonest and unacceptable, so I can’t recommend staying here. I’d choose somewhere whose management respects guests and follows through on promises.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating, and the villa was beautifully designed and kept in great shape. We spent six nights at Casa Philip and it felt like paradise. I’ve stayed at a lot of villas in the area, and these are the best. There wasn’t anything more we could have asked for. Highly recommend it if you want a great experience in Bali. I’d definitely come back.

My friends and I were robbed at Casa Phlipp. I lost about P20,000, close to 500 dollars. We only worked out what had happened a few months after the visit, when we compared experiences with each other. It was the worst experience.

One bedroom seemed to be over the sewerage system, because it smelled of sewage whenever a toilet was flushed. We raised complaints, but the owner mostly didn’t respond. We were disappointed, and we won’t be back. On arrival, we also found many things missing: bath towels, face and hand washers, tea towels, and cutlery. Getting them delivered took too long, and some of the towels that eventually arrived were worn out with huge holes.
