Flamingo Dewata Suite

The staff were nasty and behaved really badly. They made mean comments about my daughter and her nannies while she was trying to find a nanny she liked, and they tried to involve themselves in my personal life. I have evidence of hotel staff abusing and harassing me on WhatsApp, both verbally during my stay and in writing. They refused to give my money back. The AC broke five times, the bathroom smelled awful, and the staff spoke poor English. They wouldn't help me open the door when I needed to get back in. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Do not stay here, run away from this place!

We stayed at Flamingo Aquila for three nights in June. The room looked like the best I'd seen in Bali at first: clean, open, modern, fancy, and seemingly had everything you could want. But the beds were among the hardest I've ever slept on, like a one-inch mattress on the floor. The location was awful too, with no way to walk anywhere, so we had to take a Grab each time. It felt creepy that there seemed to be hardly anyone else staying there. I knew someone was around in other rooms, but the place felt like an abandoned mansion, especially at breakfast. Staff made us eat breakfast, almost like it was a compulsory school meal. If we didn't show up, they kept calling our room phone to remind us. They also called late in the evening to ask what we wanted for breakfast the next day. The beautiful room couldn't make up for the rest of it. The price and quality made the other issues feel even more unsettling. It wasn't the hotel's fault that the place felt so empty, but it really creeped us out.

We had a nice stay at this villa, and enjoyed having a padel court.

Mustafa and the cleaners were the bright spots in an otherwise disappointing stay. The property stayed clean and tidy, and Mustafa went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. But the Wi-Fi was practically unusable the whole time, whether I was in the room or common areas. It was so slow and unreliable I couldn't work or even browse. The sink tap in my room also didn't work properly, a basic problem that should have been fixed straight away. When I raised these issues, most of the staff weren't helpful. I felt brushed off, and nobody really tried to resolve anything. The property itself is decent, but between the poor connection and lack of support, my experience was average at best. I hope management takes these essential guest needs seriously.
