The location made it easy to get to Uluwatu's hotspots, and there were lots of good restaurants and cafes within walking distance. My partner and I both thought Gelis Gede Cottages was our favourite place we'd stayed in Bali. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we slept well every night. The rooms were spacious and modern, with everything we needed, and the staff made the whole visit feel special. They were kind and welcoming, took such good care of us, and did a great job cleaning our room each day. We also loved the pancakes in the morning. We'd definitely come back and highly recommend it.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and they checked every day whether we wanted the room cleaned. They also left us earplugs, which was thoughtful given the early morning sounds. Having breakfast brought to the room was convenient, though we didn't find it very tasty. The price was reasonable and the room was spacious, so we had a generally good stay. There were stains and some rust in the bathroom, and we found hair in the sink when we arrived. Starting around 5 a.m., roosters and dogs are clearly audible, which may bother light sleepers. It's a decent-value place with friendly service, but cleanliness and soundproofing could be better.

Breakfast was a highlight, especially the pancakes and scrambled eggs on toast we had every morning. The pool area was lovely for relaxing, and our room was spacious, modern, and had everything we needed. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay at Gelis Gede.

The electricity in our room was a serious problem: using the air conditioner and hair dryer at the same time immediately tripped the power. Service was very disappointing, too. During our 11 days there, the room was cleaned only once, and even that wasn't really a proper cleaning. We had to ask for everything ourselves, including fresh towels, soap refills, and toilet paper after it had run out. Breakfast was a complete disaster. The bread and omelette looked and tasted awful, like someone else's leftovers. On two separate days we got no breakfast at all because staff forgot about us, even though we told them our breakfast time on time every day. This level of neglect is unacceptable.

The room was spacious, clean, and nicely equipped, with modern decor, a comfortable bed, and a mini-fridge. Breakfast was free each morning and delicious. The staff went out of their way to keep me comfortable, even helping arrange laundry and transportation after I checked out. I was welcomed warmly at reception, and check-in was smooth. The friendly, professional service made for a pleasant stay with a good balance of comfort and amenities.
