Hakuna Matata Bali Villas

The garden at Villa (1) is lovely, with a mix of Japanese and Balinese style, and the Wi-Fi was quite fast. The staff were helpful and dedicated, and I appreciated the Balinese decor with its Buddha statues. There are a few things that need attention. The kitchen stove was partly broken, and cooking for yourself there wasn't very comfortable. Parking was also limited. The bathroom has no bidet, which was disappointing, and the water tasted oddly sweet. I understand water can be hard to come by here, but shower pressure was low, especially when both showers were running. A bidet would help guests who aren't used to a dry toilet, and warmer yellow lighting in the living area would be nicer. The villa could be maintained better. 3.5/5.

We did receive a 50% refund, but our honeymoon was still ruined by the poor communication, disrespectful behavior, and lack of essential backup systems. If the power goes out, expect to be left in the dark, literally. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a stress-free stay. We were told the outage would last only 2-3 hours, but it went on for 8. There was no backup generator, so we had no electricity, water, or gas: no air conditioning or lights, no shower, and not even a way to flush the toilet. With accurate information, we could have booked somewhere else in advance. Instead, staff offered to help us pack and move at midnight, far too late to be useful. The most offensive moment was when a staff member suggested my Muslim friends use swimming pool water for personal hygiene. That showed no cultural awareness or respect. Earlier, when I jokingly asked where the champagne for our honeymoon was, a staff member sarcastically said, "In heaven." That was unprofessional and disrespectful. A simple polite answer would have been fine. The property may have potential, but the service, communication, and management made this an extremely disappointing experience, especially for our honeymoon.

The food was so nice, we ate here a lot during our two-day stay, twice each day. Great service, everything was perfect. Don't worry, be happy.

We had a lovely few days here with my sister, her husband, and my husband. The villa was spacious enough for four and very clean. Both rooms had their own bathroom, and we enjoyed the pool and pool table. They made us delicious breakfast each morning and arranged a driver to pick us up and take us wherever we wanted. We enjoyed our stay a lot.
