Hari Indah Boutique Hotel & Spa

A great place to switch off from the hustle. It’s quiet and relaxing, with thoughtful, bespoke design and a comfortable feel. You get an upscale stay without the high price, and it benefits from being a small independent hotel rather than a big chain. It might not suit you if you need a TV, fridge, or easy access to all the town’s bars and restaurants.

We were only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, and the hotel itself was wonderfully quiet with just six rooms, so book ahead. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh bread, coffee and tea, smoothies, plus made-to-order options like eggs on sourdough, pancakes, waffles, and smoothie bowls. The pool and restaurant area are lovely, and reception is staffed around the clock, which was reassuring when arriving late. Our double room felt a bit small, so next time we’d choose a premium room. We enjoyed the outdoor bathroom, though it did mean quite a few mosquito bites. From the moment we arrived, the boutique feel and friendly welcome stood out. I even proposed on our terrace!

We stayed here on our honeymoon and fell in love with the place. The hotel massage was easily the best I’ve ever had, and breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Brian, the manager, was so friendly and helpful, always sharing ideas for places to visit and things to see. The whole stay felt relaxing, from arrival right through to leaving. We’ll stay here again next time we’re in Bali. Thank you!
