Makai Uluwatu

The little touches made this place feel next level. Every room had lovely dim lighting, the kitchen was stocked with appliances I haven’t seen in other Bali stays, and the gym had everything from weights to bands. The photos already show how spacious and comfortable it is, with great views and your own gym, and it all looked just like them. One of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in 😍

The villa felt like a calm, clean, dependable home, and our ten days there went by far too fast. Putu, the manager, deserves a special thank you for responding to every request right away. The cleaner worked so professionally each day, taking care of all three floors and the grounds almost like a shadow. Please look after him. We’ve visited Bali for over ten years, and this was the first villa we’ve returned to. We plan to come back again.

We loved winding down in this spacious, beautifully decorated villa after exploring Uluwatu, especially watching sunset from the balcony. It has so much to enjoy: an infinity pool, gym, pool table, lovely views, and the most comfortable bed in the world. Hayley and her team were fantastic, quick to respond, and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. The welcome book was also packed with useful local information and recommendations. We hope we can return someday.

I slept better here than I have in years. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the terrace, pool and kitchen made the tropical heat easy to enjoy. From the basement gym to the house’s distinctive style, it felt very different from the usual Bali villa look. The staff were friendly and helpful while giving us plenty of privacy. The view is incredible, a full 180 degrees across the Bukit, with Mount Agung, aka Mama Bali, visible on clear days. Makai Uluwatu is so good you almost want to keep it a secret. Best Bali villa I’ve stayed in!
