Mamo Hotel Uluwatu

The location is great, especially if you’re surfing at suluban or going to single fin, but the room really needs attention. It’s huge, though the couch has no cushions, the sheets were stained, and there’s only one power outlet for the whole room, right across from the table. You have to share it if you’re using things like the kettle.

The hotel is in a great spot, but the shower had no hot water. There was no electric kettle or safety box either, and although there was Wi-Fi, I couldn’t connect to it.

This was our second stay at Mamo Hotel, and it’s still the only place we’ll stay when we’re in Uluwatu. The friendly staff really try to accommodate what you need. Our room was clean and spacious, had everything we needed, and the air conditioning worked well. The location is hard to beat, close to cafes, restaurants and Suluban beach. The pool was clean and a great size too. Suksma Mamo Hotel 🙏

Great location, but this was a horrible stay. After a long flight, my wife and I checked in at night and met a “Crazy Guy” at the front desk. I call him that because the way he talked and gestured made things harder. Our room smelled awful, the floor was damp, and it wasn’t clean or healthy. I understand the dampness may have been from the rain and weather, but there was dirt and staining all over the cabinet. The shower was so dirty I didn’t use it, and the sink had a hole in it. There was just one filthy power outlet in the whole room. When I asked for a TV remote, the front desk guy told me there hadn’t been a TV since 2021. The road noise went on all night, so we couldn’t sleep. We didn’t dare try the pool after seeing how unhygienic everything was. I complained to the owner on WhatsApp and got no response. There wasn’t enough support staff, no in-room phone to call the front desk, and the room was poorly lit. There was no electric kettle, mug or spoon, so forget coffee or tea bags. The only hair dryer was ancient and couldn’t be used because its cable and plug were too short. The bathroom was dirty and old, and there was no television. For half the price I could’ve had better treatment in Bali, as I did elsewhere. This felt like robbery and mistreatment. Avoid at all cost.
