The view is amazing and hard to beat, but I think there are better places for what we paid, so I probably wouldn't recommend it. The villa was fine, though it could use some homier touches. The bedsheets and pillows felt damp, which wasn't pleasant at bedtime. It was missing a few useful things, including wine glasses and oil or something to cook with. Getting down is a long walk, and the road is dirty and unpleasant. We also had trouble with the porter: they brought down only one piece of luggage, so we had to carry the other ourselves. Overall, it felt a bit expensive for what you get.

The place was clean and had everything we needed, and the bed was comfortable. After a short walk, we could take in one of the coast's best views. The Uluwatu sunsets are some of the best in the world. We ordered dinner through gojek and watched the sunset and people swimming from the balcony, one of the biggest highlights of my trip. The host was lovely and helped carry my bag down the stairs. I worried about walking back after dark, but the whole path was lit, so it was no problem. We saw monkeys in the morning and fireflies at night. A unique stay where it felt like we had the beach to ourselves.

Avoid at all costs! We booked on their official website and transferred the money on the 7th. On the 8th they cancelled, saying we hadn't contacted them. Their assistant, Patricia, was rude in a way I've never experienced from hotel or Airbnb staff who are meant to serve guests. After reading reviews about the place being nasty and dirty, with cockroaches, rats, and very difficult access, we were glad they cancelled. Thank God!

The ocean view and sound were breathtaking, and for $120/night the villa felt like a 10/10 stay to me. It does need some renovation, though, and getting there is insanely hard. You have to go up and down at least three times a day. Three days was my limit 😂, unless you just never go back up. Our legs were still sore two days after we moved out.

The waves are so close you can hear them right inside the room, which made this a lovely place to meditate and switch off from hectic life. I stayed five days and would've happily stayed longer if work hadn't called me back. The whole atmosphere felt calm and almost surreal. Staff were super friendly, and you can get food through Gojek or ask the staff to provide it. I'd definitely recommend it, and I plan to return.
