The villa itself was huge and lovely, and the property was quiet, so it’s a shame our stay was spoiled by the staff’s attitude and a misleading listing. We booked the largest villa with a private pool, advertised for six people with two sofa beds. There were no sofa beds, so it only sleeps four. When we raised it, staff just shrugged and didn’t try to help. The place was also very dirty and falling apart. One afternoon, a few friends travelled 20 minutes to visit, but the woman running the property wouldn’t let them up the stairs or into the villa because they weren’t staying with us. Each day, whenever we left, staff unplugged the refrigerators even though we had food and drinks inside.

We had a garden-view room during the pandemic and were the only guests there. The place didn’t seem to get much maintenance, though that was understandable with so few people around. If you book, check that your room is well maintained a few days beforehand. I liked the outdoor bathroom, but it was quite small. The room felt humid and needed airing out, and there were a few mosquitoes. The morning view was lovely and peaceful. For sunrise, you have to go up to the yoga Shala or the Pool.

The pool was nice, and the location is very strategic, which helped make up for rooms that felt a bit overpriced for their quality. The place also lacked a little of that Bali feel, in my opinion. Renting a scooter here cost more than at the other places we stayed.

The views were nice, but the hotel was absolutely not worth it. Our room was dirty and the bathroom was deplorable. The receptionist was very rude, and the staff wouldn’t help with our luggage even when we asked. There are much better places in Bali. I wouldn’t recommend this one at all.

The views and landscaping were the only nice parts. The room was terrible, with peeling paint and a disgusting shower and sink. There was no fridge, chair, desk, place to hang clothes, or towel rack, and there was no disabled access. Insects crawled around everywhere. I’d never stay here again.
