Villa Lumi

The birthday flowers arranged on my bed were a really thoughtful gesture, and the staff were lovely and went out of their way for us. The construction, though, was a major disappointment. I emailed ahead specifically to ask how extensive it was, and felt misled by the answer. Building work surrounded the house, with constant noise that made it hard to relax during the day. We often left just to get some peace, and the noise regularly went past the stated hours, sometimes until 6:30pm. The online photos showing greenery around the property are misleading now, as those green areas have become construction sites. The house and furnishings also feel worn and could use some care. Maybe it’ll be a much nicer stay once all four houses are finished, but right now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
