The only upside was having air conditioning for the price. The place was filthy, with dust, rats, mold, and extremely dirty towels. Staff were friendly, though as far as I could tell, only the receptionist was an employee; the others were students and one teacher. I was told it was a school, but I never really understood how the place worked. Booking through Agoda made things more frustrating: despite my reservation, the hotel demanded extra payment for not canceling, then tried to charge me again on the last night. The whole experience was a disappointment.

The room was disgusting, with a rat-like smell, smelly water, dirty linen, and a filthy corridor. When I first booked, they showed a promotional price, but at check-in they told us to pay a different amount. I asked to cancel, but the staff didn’t seem willing to help, so I paid the extra, which still wasn’t the price shown in the OYO APK. Please think twice before staying at this homestay.

I had a standard room with a double bed, enough space for two, plus a small cupboard but no hangers. The room, shower room, and toilet were clean. The key sometimes jammed, and I had to leave a 50k IDR deposit. When I needed to check out early at 7, nobody was on standby. I called the contact number and she called the room boy, but that didn’t work, so I had to go to their room and wake them up myself. It’s an edotel, so maybe they need to be educated well. Check-in was moderate to fast. The hotel is very cheap and run by an SMK, or vocational high school. It belongs to muhammadiyah and is syar-i, so you can only check in alone or with your spouse if you have a marriage document. Despite the drawbacks, it was a very good deal.

They use OYO, not Agoda or Booking. The website price is the same, but in reality it’s almost twice as much. Scammers, I don’t recommend dealing with them.
