The staff were polite and helpful even though I wasn’t staying there, which I appreciated. I came for a performance event, and the hotel had a really nice atmosphere. The lobby was clean and roomy, with a few shops on the main floor that made the place feel lively. There were two lifts, so getting around didn’t involve much waiting. It seems like a good hotel for events too.

I first stayed here in 2023, then came back in 2025 with a group of more than 20 people. The location is great, and the dated rooms were still comfortable. I noticed some facilities have been renovated, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the rooms getting done too. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, especially the local dishes. Definitely try the congee, it’s delicious.

The location is handy, near Mall Pekanbaru and beside a supermarket, with a minimarket on the hotel grounds too. The price seems reasonable, and I’d recommend it to business travelers. It’s an old hotel, but well maintained. My room was around 25-30m2, clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed, good cool AC, and useful amenities. There was a bathtub in the business type room. The shower may need replacing, and a few more pillows would be good. Breakfast was average, and the swimming pool is small.

I went to a vocational school graduation held in one of the halls. The hall was spacious, and the buffet was tasty and plentiful. It was a shame there was no barrier for the queue, so some people who may not have been guests pushed in, which felt immoral. The restaurants on the ground floor are each halal certified, and I hope they stay committed to that.
