OYO 1158 Basecamp Hostel

It’s cheap, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

For under 200,000 Rupiah, I was surprised by how clean and comfortable the room was. The place was fairly quiet, and the staff provided excellent service. The AC still didn’t get cold enough, even after I changed the settings several times. There’s a smoking area on the first floor too.

My first stay here went beyond what I expected. The rooms are clean and smell good, the toilets are spotless, and the hot water works well. It’s affordable, clean, and close to everything, with excellent service. I arrived on a motorcycle, and the manager even parked it for me. That’s great service, even for a bike. This comfortable, exclusive boarding house is ideal for backpackers, and I really recommend it.

I paid for a room through Oyo in the Agoda app, but when I reached the hotel, reception told me they no longer worked with Oyo. The Oyo signs were still on the hotel and reception desk, and the listing was still on the apps. If they’d stopped working together, those signs should have been taken down and the Oyo hotel data removed from the other apps. The hotel wouldn’t take responsibility and only told me to cancel through the app. I still haven’t received my refund, and this happened two weeks ago. If you’re thinking of staying here, think first!
