The Zuri Pekanbaru

I could see both living world and ska mall from my room, and the view was nice. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast had a good variety, and there was plenty of parking. It’s also quite close to rhaudatul jannah, a big, clean masjid. The location felt a bit awkward, though, since it’s between the transmart mall. A little noise came through from next door, but it wasn’t too loud. The hot water could’ve been hotter, and the fried noodles I tried at breakfast were cold. The TV was really small, though I hardly watched it anyway.

A good, affordable stay in Pekanbaru. The rooms are clean and nice, with what we needed. The lobby gets crowded much of the time and could be a lot more spacious. One more lift would make the hotel even better.

My kids pick The Zuri every year for their birthday stay. It’s the best hotel in town for us, with excellent hospitality and staff who are so good with children. Thank you, the zuri!

The pool was beautiful, but I’m not sure it’s suitable for children to swim there. On the 19th floor, people seemed to be smoking all over, and the cigarette smell was especially strong. I’d booked a non-smoking room, but it still smelled of smoke. The local behind the Transmart is quite hidden, and the entrance along the side road beside Transmart was very dark at night. I hope that doesn’t compromise safety. The service was very good, especially from “Ilham,” who was really helpful. The live music on the 19th floor was too loud, and I could even feel the vibrations up on the 16th floor.
