A practical, clean transit hotel, though it feels quite impersonal. The location is OK. Rooms are small but well equipped, and the bed is excellent and very comfortable. Breakfast has plenty of variety, mostly local food. The rooftop is a nice place to have a drink and relax.

The room was quite big, and the staff were very nice. Breakfast is fantastic if you like local food such as bubur ayam, nasi and mie goreng. The rooftop restaurant is quite good and not too expensive. But the room was a little dingy, and the Wi-Fi was weak in there, much stronger in the restaurant and lobby. The AC couldn’t keep up with the daytime heat outside, with the concrete walls radiating more heat than the units could handle. I spoke to engineering twice, but nothing changed. I also really missed having a bum-washer by the toilet. There was only a rain shower, which is nice but limits different ways of bathing.

The Wi-Fi worked well, and the restaurant upstairs was pretty good too. After eating only fried rice and fish while traveling through indonesia, it was nice to get American-style food like a beef burger and fries. This is the cleanest hotel in Ambon that I’ve stayed in. The sheets were clean, and so was the bathroom.

It’s great value, though breakfast isn’t great. You aren’t paying much to stay here. Be prepared for traffic noise through the night if your room isn’t at the back of the hotel. If a more basic bathroom is fine, Wisma Grace around the corner is quieter and feels more homey.

The restaurant upstairs has a lovely sunset view. Some renovation work is going on, but things were generally okay, and my room was clean.
