Whiz Prime Hotel Sudirman Pekanbaru

The rooms were clean and the staff courteous, so it worked well for a short stay. The shower water temperature wasn't adequate, though, and needs attention. Otherwise, things were okay, with some room for improvement.

The room was clean, and the staff were cooperative and responsive, but I found the space cramped and a bit claustrophobic. The floor was sticky during my stay. Its downtown location is convenient for restaurants, banks, and bus stops. It's fine for a quick stop before a flight, but I wouldn't choose it for a holiday. With breakfast not included, the price felt a little high.

One thing I really enjoyed was the TV channel with award-winning movies. As a movie maniac, I stopped working to finish a few, and it was a nice change from Hollywood, with films from Denmark, Russia, Spain, Italy, and elsewhere. I don't often find hotels showing that kind of selection. The room was clean to the expected standard and had the usual amenities, but it was so cramped there was practically no room to move. At this rate, having no breakfast feels stingy. I asked around at other hotels in the area, and some charged the same or less while including breakfast. The hotel staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful, though the front office was quite slow despite being efficient. Would I come back just for the movies? Hmm, maybe. Should I?

Whiz Prime Hotel Sudirman Pekanbaru made for a memorable, enjoyable stay. The rooms were comfortable and well kept, and the hotel was clean with modern amenities. Staff were welcoming, attentive, and friendly. I also enjoyed the variety of food at Whiz Prime. Being centrally located made it easy to get around the city and visit nearby attractions. I highly recommend it.
