The waves rose and turned powerful without warning. I barely made it out after being pulled under, but my nine-year-old son didn't survive, and I couldn't save him. We had checked in that same day and went down by the shore. I nearly died too. The news covered it on August 1, 2024. Coming here was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Please don't come here. I'm warning everyone.

They kept sending us back and forth between people, and nobody seemed to have things organized. The prices shown on the price tab were apparently wrong, and no one gave us information about photos of the different room types. I wouldn't recommend it.

My parents and sisters really liked the place. As a traveler, though, I think there are still plenty of things to improve, including the amenities. The fried rice at breakfast was okay, but it was very mushy and could be made better.

There's a private beach area where kids can play, and it felt safe and fun for them. If you're heading to Pelabuhan Ratu for a weekend, Bunga Ayu hotel is one of the better places to stay 😉

The private beach is nice, and the room is fairly spacious. It's a casual hotel around Pelabuhan Ratu, though the decor feels old-fashioned and the service is pretty limited, for example, no towels were provided.
