Kinaara looks lovely when you arrive. The staff helped with our suitcases, check-in was quick, and they offered a small welcome drink. The clean room was reasonably spacious, and the outdoor bathroom was very nice, with a sink, toilet, and lovely shower behind walls that gave good privacy. The pool was warm compared with other places, with umbrellas and beds around it. The little bar has seats in the water, making it a great place to spend the day. The main issue for me was sleep. The bamboo room has character, but you can hear everything outside, even a neighbor sneezing, and traffic from the road adds noise. Worst of all, local mosques had what sounded like a one-hour shouting match starting around 5 every morning, then again from 7 to 10 in the evening. The bamboo gaps can also let insects in. There were very few power sockets, so at night I had to choose between a bedside light and charging my phone. The beds were hard, too, and not to my liking. There don't seem to be taxis in Pemuteran, and the resort is on the edge of town, so getting anywhere on foot can take 15-25 minutes. The town does have some nice little restaurants and good dive centers. Honestly, the hotel itself is great; in a quieter location, I'd have given it five stars. With the noise and hard beds making it difficult to sleep, I can only give it three.

The staff were exceptional, and I can't wait to return. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the fantastic outdoor private bathroom was a real treat. The pool is huge, warm with thermal water, and always had towels, umbrellas, and comfortable loungers available. There's a bar in the middle where you can get a drink while sitting in the water. The Jacuzzi was nice, though it wasn't very powerful.

The staff are what made our holiday so special. I fell for Kinrara resort two years ago, and the setting is superb. Breakfast was easily the best I've had. It's about a three-hour drive from the airport, with plenty of bumps, but worth it once you're unwinding by the pool. The outdoor showers were a highlight too. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

The spa treatments were great value, and they even have an after-diving package that left me relaxed and refreshed after a day of SCUBA diving. We also loved the restaurant, with attentive staff and wonderful food. It's a quiet, peaceful location, though not right on the beach. The pool is AMAZING, heated and with a swim-up bar, and the bar team serves a huge range of cocktails.

There’s a great spa here, and we had very good food with half board in the lovely restaurant. The villas are nice, the grounds are lovely, and the giant warm pool with its swim-up bar is awesome. The staff are sweet too. It's a bit of a walk into town and not near the beach. Roosters, dogs and the nearby mosque can be noisy.
