Sang Tirta Farm Living Resort

The main drawback for me was the waste: Sang Tirta Farm uses a lot of single-use plastic, from straws to honey in individual packets. That felt at odds with a farm stay, and I hope they can adopt more eco-friendly practices. The place itself is beautiful and wonderfully calm, though, and the staff were warm and attentive. I had a very pleasant stay.

The early morning sounds of nature made it easy to relax and clear my head at Villa Padi. There’s also a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, and the room was both spacious and comfortable. It’s a lovely spot for photos too. I had a wonderful, refreshing stay.

We ended up turning back to Denpasar after a very disappointing arrival. The road near the hotel was terribly narrow for a car, and the direction signs were so sparse that we lost our way. After we called, the staff didn’t help us with directions. Then my wife checked the bathroom and saw a poisonous black spider, so we cancelled immediately. Luckily, we hadn’t transferred the 50% deposit they requested.

The view is the big draw here, and the surroundings are amazing. A few things could be better, though. There was nobody in the lobby when we arrived, so I had to ask a local staff member before someone came. It’d be good to have somebody on standby if guests need help. Wi-Fi barely worked in our room, and the breakfast was pretty standard for such a great location. The fried bananas we ordered were tasty, but could be improved. Bring snacks for light cravings, since there’s no grocery store nearby. Still, I’d recommend staying here with family or a loved one if you want a relaxing atmosphere in Penebel.
