The food here is wonderfully authentic and made from scratch, with most ingredients grown or caught right at the homestay. It’s family run, and you won’t find better people: they’re wholesome and have great values. The place sits among beautiful rice terraces and lush jungle, with mountains all around, so it feels like real Bali. We stayed at homestays and some of the finest resorts all over Bali, and this is still at the top of my list.

The family’s homemade food is simple, nourishing, and clearly made with care. Their dog Bruno is sweet and seems to fit the gentle feel of the home. The rooms are modest but very comfortable, with lovely wooden furniture and cozy beds that made it easy to rest after a day under the open sky. What stays with me most is the family. They run the place with warmth and hospitality, and staying there felt like being welcomed into their home. Between the breathtaking views and the small details of daily life, the whole place invites you to slow down and feel closer to nature. It’s a quiet sanctuary if that’s what you’re looking for, and the kind of stay that makes you want to return.

For exploring the area on a budget, this is a good option for a few nights. The rooms are clean and practical, the grounds and views are stunning, and the service feels warm, friendly, and considerate. The restaurant menu is limited, but everything is tasty and freshly prepared.

For a different Bali stay, this is a lovely choice: you’re surrounded by jungle and close to nature, while still having the comforts you need.
