Echo Beach Villa & Apartment

The villa had three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Two had king beds and the third had twin beds. The living, dining, and kitchen areas were together in one large room, with a sofa, TV with netflx, dining table, and a full set of kitchen utensils. We also liked the pool. It's a cozy, clean place in Canggu, very near Pererenan beach, with cafes serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner nearby.

The rooms were roomy and generally clean and well equipped, though they felt quite old. Reception were helpful when I went to them, and my three-night stay was okay overall. Getting around was the drawback. The road to the beach often floods and can't be used, so reaching Canggu's livelier restaurants and beach clubs means going the long way, about a 20-minute walk or 10 minutes by Grab Scooter. The WiFi was also weak, slow, and very unstable.

The rooms are modern and really nice, the shared pool is beautiful, breakfast was good, and the staff were extremely friendly. It's near the beach and suits a quieter stay. If you want restaurants and shops close by and within walking distance, central Canggu would be a better base. From here you'd need a cab, since the streets are unsafe to walk, especially at night, with no lighting and hardly anyone around.

Joni, the manager, was so helpful arranging rides with his drivers and tickets to attractions, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great three-bedroom villa for four adults, two teenagers, and a baby. Its separate lounge and dining room were enclosed by huge glass sliding doors, so the baby was safe the whole time. Great spot if you love surfing.
