The location is good, and the staff are polite, but I found this place far too expensive for what it offers. I stayed for over a month and dealt with geckos and their droppings on the walls, flying cockroaches, mosquitoes, and other bugs. The rooms are very small, flimsy, and not clean for the price. Cleaning only happens every three days, and the sheets weren’t changed unless I asked. Some staff cleaned well, but others repeatedly left the washrooms, especially the toilets, unclean. The bathrooms felt unhygienic, the water pressure was low, and there was a foul smell. The staff’s English was limited. There’s no freezer in the fridge, and the dispensers only offer warm or hot water. Wi-Fi was very slow and kept disconnecting. I only chose it because holiday-season availability was low. There are much better options nearby, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The rooftop terrace is a great place to work or relax, and the location puts you within walking distance of the beach and some upscale restaurants. My room was small, but I really liked the balcony overlooking greenery. The bathroom could use a better clean and an update.

The location was a real plus, and the staff were friendly and helpful when I checked in and out. Still, I wouldn’t suggest staying more than two nights. For somewhere that seemed quite new, Honu wasn’t as clean or comfortable as I expected. My first-floor room felt damp and humid, with poor bathroom ventilation. The linen had visible stains, and the balcony wall came up more than halfway to the ceiling, so little air got in. The shower head and bidet looked old, there was no hot water, and the AC blew hot air, making the room feel even more damp. The power suddenly went out on the first night, and I couldn’t reach anyone at the guesthouse. There were several Wi-Fi connections, but most were slow or didn’t work. The smart TV was a plus. I think the place could offer good value if it were managed and maintained better. I hope they take this feedback into account.

This was my third stay, and it’s been nice each time. I always book a first-floor room, and for this location the price is the best. There were a few stains on the linen. That didn’t bother me much, but it could be improved.
