The setting is stunning, quiet, and peaceful, and it was lovely to stay somewhere so beautiful. It is quite far from major roads, though, and getting where you want to go can be difficult unless you cross a large runoff river. The room was very spacious but felt bare, with plenty of storage. Staff were rarely around. When my driver and I couldn’t find the hotel late at night because it wasn’t clearly marked on Google Maps, Karma, the owner, was a sweetheart and came to check that everything was okay. This was my first hotel in Bali.

The internet was the one weak point, especially when the neighbours were home, and we were sad to leave the place and its staff. For the price, the stay was much better than I expected. There was staff available 24 hours, a great pool, and a shared kitchen. The room had air conditioning, local cable, strong water pressure, and daily cleaning. The location is close to the beach, and scooters were available to rent on site at good rates.

Great place, with a comfortable bed and nice pool. The staff and owner are amazing. Staying in perenanan is ideal, since it’s only a two-minute scooter ride into Canggu via the shortcut. Must stay here!
