The dive crew were very nice, and I had a good diving experience. The accommodation, though, left me very disappointed. The resort needs renovation: there’s a big hole in the bathroom wall, the towel rail is broken, the sink faucet wobbles, and the shower head holder won’t keep the head up, so I had to hold it while showering. The room also wasn’t cleaned well. Dirt stayed above the sink the whole time, the towels smelled, and the sheets weren’t changed. There were huge ants in the bathroom too. Wi-Fi barely worked in my room, so I had to sit in the dining area for a better connection. I saw a friend’s room and their bathroom looked a bit nicer, with a bathtub. Mine had only a shower head beside the toilet, with no curtain or other separation. I’d seen photos of the pool and expected a nice resort, but it was dirty and closed during my visit.

The diving center made our stay enjoyable, and the dives were amazing 😍 The resort itself, though, seems to have had a long closure before reopening recently, and feels like it may have been great ten years ago. The bathrooms were dirty, the rooms need new furnishings, and the pool was dirty too. There weren’t any cushions for the pool loungers.

The jetty bar is a lovely place to watch the sun go down, and the water is calm enough for snorkeling from the beach. Scuba diving is available too. This vintage hotel has beautiful views, clean, attractive pools, and many rooms, including ones right on the beach. It’s about 45 minutes from Manado city. Take a walk along the path around the hotel to see the flowers, beach and pools. Everything seemed beautiful there.

The pool and beach are nice, and the place offers a quiet break at the edge of Manado, away from traffic. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, but the bathroom didn’t match it. I struggled with the water and toilet, though those issues could be fixed. There also weren’t enough power outlets in the bedroom. The food was so-so, but edible for me.

A pleasant tropical resort with a thoughtfully designed garden, pool area and beach, at reasonable prices. Daily trips to Bunaken’s dive areas are available, and it seems well suited to families and honeymooners. Some parts feel run down, especially the bathrooms, which need refurbishment. Noise from the neighboring abandoned resort is disruptive, with heavy metal and techno music in the evenings and on weekends.
