The gym was a surprise, it's big and fully equipped. I spent two days at Gajahmada Hotel and really enjoyed my trip to Pontianak. My room was quite old, but had an authentic feel. The wifi connection was weak. Still, I'd recommend it overall.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we got moved to a better room because they were late cleaning ours, so that worked out. The room was clean and decent, though it felt more roomy than truly spacious. The design is pretty good for this small town. Breakfast wasn't bad, with local vendors offering delicacies such as chai kue for tourists to try, plus unusual snacks like steamed kabocha. The gym is there, but it's rather dark and unmanaged. A few more smiles at reception would make the whole experience great.

Breakfast had lots of variety every day. The room's atmosphere was standard, but the toilet seat was worn out and the shower valve was loose and didn't work properly.

Service has improved since my last visit two years ago during the pandemic. The room is spacious and the wifi is fast and stable. The hotel is right in the center of Jalan Gajahmada Pontianak, with everything within walking distance. I'll keep staying here whenever I travel to Pontianak.

The room was spacious and clean, but the toilet on Level 1 smelled. We booked four rooms with city views and got only one room with a window. The hotel is in a strategic spot along Gajah Mada road.
