Clover Homestay

The staff at the front desk and in the kitchen were wonderful. They refilled my water bottle and let me leave my bag at reception after checkout while I waited to leave later. They also helped book a Bromo sunrise jeep tour: 650k for three people, or 625k if there are more. There are a couple of cute cats, plus flowers and trees with lights in the main courtyard, a swing, and a little fish pond. A keyboard sits at reception, though most of its keys didn't work, haha. The hotel is near stasiun Probolinggo, an indomaret, and several places to eat, including pizza hut and dominos. The room was fine for a couple of nights, with a spacious bathroom, a full-length mirror outside it, and decent air conditioning. The toilet had a distinct smell, and the water pressure and heat could be better. Amenities were limited to towels, mineral water, and body soap. The extra blanket smelled unpleasant, and there was a TV but no remote that we could find. We could hear drilling and construction on the second floor during the day. The kitchen closed at 8 p.m. Meals were reasonably priced and tasty, though the crispy chicken bowl I ordered was too salty. Breakfast was included and filling. Each person could pick from four set options, with a drink (tea, coffee, milk coffee, or orange powder juice), fruit, an omelet, and one of beef samosas, fried rice, paratha with chocolate sauce, or a waffle. Waffles weren't available during our stay.
