We were lucky enough to see dolphins, which made the trip even more memorable. Everywhere we went was beautiful, and our private guide took us to some lovely spots with stunning views. The staff at The Cottage were friendly, welcoming, and really helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and the bathroom well kept, so we were comfortable. Just keep in mind this is a simple cottage, not a five-star villa. We had a wonderful time in Derawan. Highly recommended!

What stands out here is the hospitality. Jeffrey and his wife deserve the credit for making the service so good. If you're heading to Derawan and care about being warmly looked after, this is the place. Quality over quantity. 🙏

Just sea, clouds, and a wooden building. Such a beautiful little escape from town, and a corner I'll remember forever. MasyaAllah, #Allahummabaarik ♡

The setting is beautiful, and the staff were kind and helpful. Our room was comfortable too. We did have a rat come in through a hole in the floor in the middle of the night, which wasn't a big deal for us since we're staying in nature. I'd have given it five stars if not for the nearby cafes playing loud karaoke through speakers. When they stopped, the paradise-like atmosphere came back.

You can swim straight into the sea from the private jetty at the Turtle Villa, and turtles and fish are visible from the balcony. The room also has cold AC, a comfy sofa bed, and breakfast brought to you each morning. It is a fairly long walk from the entrance, but worth it. Karaoke from a nearby restaurant can get a little noisy at night.
