Classic Beach Villas

We spent a week in the same room and were very happy there. It was roomy, the Wi-Fi worked well enough for us, and nights were quiet with hardly any mosquitoes. Breakfast came with a lovely look over the pool and sea, and the beach is right there. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too. We also had some cute little neighbours drop by!

The rooms are terrific, and the pool area is well kept, with sunbeds and even a bug net for sleeping. I loved the place, it’s a lot more fun than a dull hotel. The street is small but has most things you need, especially if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful away from busy tourism. I would’ve liked more breakfast and snack choices on site, plus some kind of concierge desk, but still, I loved staying here.

We had a really nice stay in Amed. The villas have a charming old-school Bali European look, and we especially liked the outdoor areas, including the bed beneath the balcony. The staff were great and found us snorkelling gear for much less than the local dive shops charged. The beach is under 50 metres away, with good restaurants close by. There was a distinct smell from the bathroom drain, which we saw mentioned in other reviews. We couldn’t tell if it was the plumbing in the area or the property, so we kept the bathroom door shut. Apart from that, it was a lovely place and a handy base in Amed.

The staff were thoughtful and kind, and the location puts restaurants, massage, and a grocery store close by. You can swim in the pool with a sea view or head straight to the beach. We stayed for more than a week, and nearly everything felt perfect. The bedding was only okay, but comfortable enough. If you’re an animal person, there are lots of cats around the property. I was this 🤏🏼 close to sneaking one into my suitcase to take home. 🥹
