The staff were very nice, the room was clean and nicely decorated, and the pool was well maintained. We enjoyed our stay overall, though the room was tiny and there was almost nowhere for clothes, just two hooks in the bedroom and three in the bathroom. There's a patch of land beside the hotel where animals are kept, and as others have said, the chickens make a lot of noise in the early hours. We also found a cockroach on our patio one evening. I'm not sure those can be avoided in Bali. Although we booked online, the property would only take cash.

I chose Mango for a two-month stay and I'm so glad I did. The area is quiet but still close to the center and the beach, and the WiFi is really good for work compared with other places I've stayed. If you work online, that's a big plus. The room is spacious, clean, and cozy. I love waking up to the view of the Agung volcano from bed, and there's a sunset every evening. The pool area with its loungers is cozy too, and the whole place has a nice atmosphere. I don't miss anything here and I'm really happy. I'd definitely return if I could.

The rooms were clean and spacious, with cold aircon, and the place was affordable. I loved mango 5 Amed for its cute style, central yet quiet location, and friendly, helpful staff. Wish I'd stayed here for my whole trip to Amed!

The room's faucet and jetspray were nearly broken, and the cleanliness needs improvement. During my one-night stay on 7-8 Sept, I couldn't sleep because I was bitten all over by bed bugs, or possibly other tiny creatures, while in bed. I can't say whether the sheets had been changed, but I'm sure something bit me. The bites were very itchy, especially since I'm allergic to insects. It's actually a nice small hotel near the center, but please improve the cleaning and repair the broken things.

The hot shower was great, though the bathtub drained as quickly as it filled. Breakfast was simple but good, banana pancakes and orange juice. The rooms are simple and nice, with a TV and fridge, and the place is quiet, set just off the main road. Staff were a little hard to communicate with, but they let us leave our bags early before check-in.
