Breakfast came to the room at the time I asked for, which was a convenient touch, and it’s included in the price. For a night or two, the rates seem reasonable, and I liked the retro decor. The rooms are roomy enough for two, with air conditioning and a TV. Ground floor rooms also have a private balcony, though the back alley can get noisy at night. The bathroom works, but there’s no hot water. Hotel Verde Purwokerto is in a handy spot, with small food stalls around it that get especially lively on Saturday nights. Parking is quite limited, so you may have to wait or be patient to find a space. The bedding and towels could be cleaner. I noticed stains on the sheets, and the towels and bath mats weren’t as white or clean as I expected. With the noise, parking, and cleaning issues, I’d be less inclined to stay longer, but the convenient breakfast, decent sized rooms, and price make it a reasonable short stay in Purwokerto.

The sofas and seating spaces felt roomy and had a vintage look. The hotel is nicely designed and decorated, right across from the nongkrong street of KebonDalem. I did find the room a bit tight, with little walking space between the bed, walls, and table. A shower screen would also help keep the bathroom floor dry.

The location is convenient and the price feels fair. There’s plenty of motorbike parking, but only two car spaces inside, so other cars have to park on the street. A security guard is on duty around the clock, which helped me feel safe. My first floor room had some street noise, though it wasn’t too disruptive. The place is clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and the basic facilities you’d expect. It has an old, vintage feel that makes it warm and homey. I’d say it’s around the level of a 2-star hotel, though it isn’t officially rated. A simple, restful choice in Purwokerto for business or leisure.

Breakfast changes each day and tasted pretty good, and the staff were very friendly. The location is strategic, though the parking area is a little small. My room was nice, with good AC and a TV, and the bathroom was nice too. Toiletries included a dental kit, two towels, soap, and shampoo.

The shower was the one problem: it didn’t work consistently, with the heat and water flow both varying. Apart from that, I had a lovely stay in Purwokerto. Hotel Verde felt comfortable and practical, and I liked its beautiful art deco building and vintage, classic furnishings. It had a homey feel that made it very comfortable.
