Nuansa Homestay

I felt right at home here. The stay is cozy, quiet, and comfortable, and Aldi’s whole family is so kind. Aldi worked hard to make sure everyone was happy and had the information, plans, and bookings they needed. I’ve had few homestay experiences this good. Thanks for everything, you made my time in Toraja amazing ☺️

Aldi and his family made our three nights wonderful, and we’re so grateful. He was an amazing host, arranging dinner from a local restaurant, taking us to and from the bus even very early in the morning, and helping us find a guide for funeral ceremonies and other activities. We stayed in the traditional Tongkonan house, just as beautiful as the photos show, and the place was peaceful, a truly traditional Tarajan experience. There’s a scooter available for trips into Rantepao, though we also enjoyed walking part of the way. Kanna cafe was one of our favorites, and the locals were all so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend staying here in Rantepao 😊 Kurre sumanga buda-buda, Aldi and family.

The location is quiet and a lovely place to relax. My room was comfortable, even though I wasn’t in the traditional wooden house. Aldi gave us all the information we needed, so we could explore Toraja without a guide. His family were incredibly kind and even cooked lunch for me when I felt sick. I had a wonderful stay at Nuansa homestay. Thanks so much for everything, I’ll come back 😊

The family who owns this beautiful house were the best part of my stay, always caring and ready to help with transport or information about the area. When I got food poisoning somewhere else, we stayed a few extra days and they kept looking after me and trying to help. Their care made me feel better, and I enjoyed chatting with them too. It’s a simple but very clean place, close to town but in a quiet spot. The house and views are lovely, and it’s perfect for relaxing. Renting a motorbike would make getting around easier. Such a lovely family, thank you!
