Icha was especially wonderful. She greeted us with the warmest smile and made sure our issues were sorted out without hassle. The whole staff was lovely and went out of their way to make us comfortable, even offering rides to our destination and back to the hotel. Their service was the best.

The rooms smelled moldy, both of them, and the pool had old skin and flies in it. The floor was extremely slippery too, and someone in our group fell and hurt his arm. It’s a shame the place isn’t being cleaned and cared for, since otherwise it was amazing.

The room wasn’t clean, and that left us dissatisfied. The service felt unfriendly, and we didn’t feel welcome or comfortable in the villa. Poor hospitality.

A pleasant eco hotel in quiet surroundings, with a nice pool. Sunbeds are limited, so I’d ask for a room facing the pool. Then you can relax on your own porch instead.

We came as a family with young children and had a peaceful, beautiful, relaxing stay at De Umah. The gardens and hotel grounds are spectacular, and the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The kids enjoyed the clean pool, though it doesn’t have a shallow end for very young children. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was the one thing that didn’t quite match, as it felt quite small for the hotel price.
