I’ve probably been here about ten times because I love it so much. The view of Agung is the best, the food is tasty, and the whole place is calm and peaceful. There’s a big green area with a beautiful garden and birdsong.

From the main restaurant, you get an astonishing view of Mount Agung and a sky that’s always changing. I spent several amazing days here. The food was fantastic, the bungalow area was quiet and beautifully laid out, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were caring and warm. There’s plenty to do around Mahagiri, including rafting, exploring rice terraces, and visiting a nearby traditional Balinese village with quiet streets and local charm. A lovely place for a calm, meditative Bali experience, with comfort, thoughtful service, and lots of tasty food.

The buffet is delicious and has a good range of food, and the view is amazing. It’s a great place for a family lunch. If I’m back in the Besakih area, I’ll definitely return.

We stopped for lunch and found the prices reasonable, so the view over the rice terraces made it a worthwhile find for us. The buffet food wasn’t amazing, and nearly all the diners seemed to be tourists. Staff were friendly and attentive, as is common in Bali.
