The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, which makes the state of room 201 even more disappointing for 400.000 IDR. Mold and mildew were all over the room, with a strong smell that also made us worry about safety. We opened the windows, but the traffic outside was so loud we couldn't sleep. The pillows smelled musty and couldn't be used, the sheets were torn, the shower was only lukewarm, and there was no climate control. Some of the other rooms, especially upstairs, looked better and had lovely mountain views, though they may cost more based on other reviews. Breakfast was among the better hotel breakfasts we've had, and the outdoor dining space was pleasant. Still, after our stay, we wouldn't come back.

We had a clean, comfortable room, and the staff were polite and kind. The views over Flores' mountains and hills are beautiful. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The restaurant's morning view is five stars. Breakfast is simple but filling, usually rice or noodles, so let the front desk know the day before if you'd like bread. Our standard room had no hot water, though the upper room types do. There was no air conditioning either, but it stayed cool enough at night.

The restaurant was shut, and they wouldn't provide the included breakfast, saying it ended at 8:00 even though the information card said 9:00 am. The rooms themselves were very good and clean, with excellent hot water in the superior rooms. The staff were frustrating and didn't seem prepared for international guests. At one point, they even watched me urinate in the room toilet from in front of the inner door.

After two years it still looked good, with nothing seeming to have changed, so I'd recommend it for an ordinary stay. I first visited after going to Wae Rebo, and after village life the hotel felt very nice. The clean rooms had soap, shampoo, and other toiletries that looked quite unusual. There's also a public smoking area. The price felt fair for the quality.
