It's easy to find all kinds of food nearby, and Alun2 Lapangan Pancasila is within walking distance. The location is strategic. Management should pay more attention to bathroom cleanliness, especially the shower floor, and the internet connection in the room needs to be good and strong.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was large and nice, and the receptionist was pleasant.

What I liked most was how peaceful it felt, even though the hotel is behind a very busy restaurant in the center of Salatiga. The city isn't big, and it's only a five-minute walk to alun-alun or the city plaza. You can get there easily by car, motorcycle or on foot. It's a boutique hotel with a relaxing atmosphere, and the place itself stays quiet. The hotel has a cozy, traditional-ish Java feel, almost like a small art gallery. There are paintings, old photographs, classic toys and classic furniture in the lounge, hallways and rooms. I enjoyed looking at them, and you could ask staff about the art if you have time, though I didn't 🥲. A beautiful rock pool sits in the middle of the hotel, with water sounds going 24/7. I still don't know where the waterfall came from, but it's calming. I stayed in the Yudhistira room, with one big bed, for around IDR 400k. It was clean and spacious, with room for all our belongings. The bed and blankets were fluffy and warm, with two huge pillows and two bolsters, enough for three people if one is quite petite. The AC worked great, though Salatiga gets cold at night, so you might not need it. The balcony was a lovely place to sit at night with snacks and beer and think about your future or the plot of your next book. The room also had a balcony, free toiletries, two clean towels, a hot water shower, safety box, two indoor slippers, mini fridge, hot water kettle and refreshments, including ground coffee. It came with two breakfast packages. I expected ordinary hotel fried rice and a sunny-side-up egg, but got white rice, fried beehoon, fried chicken thigh and oseng buncis. Simple, homey and delicious, it tasted just like my dad's cooking. If you want a western breakfast, this might not be for you, or perhaps you could request one, I don't know. I really liked this kind of breakfast, which was surprisingly tasty and not bland like food at some other hotels. There were also two pieces of watermelon, ongol-ongol, a sweet glutinous snack covered with coconut shreds, and hot tea or coffee. So satisfying. The staff were really kind and helpful. They even helped my family with a personal matter in the city, so don't hesitate to ask them for help or questions. If you're bringing an elderly person, consider booking the first floor. There's no elevator, and you have to use stairs to reach the second and third floors, although the stairs are comfortable and shouldn't torture the knees of someone with weak knees. My stay was satisfying, and I'll recommend the hotel whenever I get the chance. Thanks for welcoming my family and having us stay. I hope the hotel thrives forever ^^

It's homey and quiet, with spacious rooms and hospitable staff. The building is quite old and needs maintenance. Right in the middle of Salatiga, it's a strategic spot, especially if you're after the town's legendary food.

The rooms are huge and homey, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's affordable, quiet and peaceful, and works well for families or couples. They serve homemade Indonesian breakfast and can deliver it to your room. From the balconies on the second and third floors, you can see the mountain.
